30-YEAR-OLD MUM VANISHES, LEAVING FAMILY LIVING A NIGHTMARE 💥 LOVED ONES MAKE EMOTIONAL APPEAL AS SEARCH INTENSIFIES

A Queensland family is appealing for information after the disappearance of a 30-year-old mother on the Darling Downs.

Jana Armstrong was last seen at a Gordon Avenue property at Newtown, a Toowoomba suburb about 120 kilometres west of Brisbane, on Tuesday afternoon.

Her car, a white Hyundai Kona, was found on the corner of Jellicoe Street and Gordon Avenue at Newtown about 6am on Wednesday.

A Queensland Police Service spokesperson said SES crews were assisting with the search today.

Police are searching multiple areas in Toowoomba, including Black Gully Reserve, about 500 metres from a property where forensic officers were seen searching on Thursday.

Ms Armstrong is described as Caucasian, about 165 centimetres tall, with blue eyes and brown hair.

Police and her family are concerned for the young mother’s welfare, describing Ms Armstrong’s disappearance as out of character.

Ms Armstrong’s eldest brother, Sam Davison, said his family was desperate for any information about the mother-of-one.

“We want anyone with information about Jana’s disappearance to contact police or Crimestoppers or anyone in the family directly,” he said.

Mr Davison said there were four siblings in their family and that his sister, Jana, always cared deeply for other people and had a beautiful heart.

“We have two boys and she loved them so much she would come on holidays with us all the time, over at our place three nights a week,” Mr Davison said.

He said Ms Armstrong also spent a lot of time with their sister and her family.

“She also loved to go places and be outdoors so much,” he said.

Mr Davison said the siblings were very close and had all helped care for their parents in their final years.

Friend Amelia Street said Ms Armstrong worked as a support worker.

“She is such a gorgeous soul. She is an angel on earth,” Ms Street said.

“I am absolutely desperate.”

Through tears, Ms Street said her own three daughters were out searching for Ms Armstrong.

Ms Street said her friend’s four-month-old baby was being cared for by a family member.
