Locals in the Sandrigham area have been speaking about Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor’s arrival at the Norfolk estate after leaving his sprawling 30-room Royal Lodge in Windsor. The disgraced former Duke of York has moved into the considerably smaller Wood Farm Cottage while waiting for work to be completed on his new permanent address of Marsh Farm.

However, one local said Andrew is still “going back to luxury” and being “waited on hand and foot”. The owner of a local pub also told Hello! that residents are “disgusted with his potential behaviour” — Andrew has repeatedly and vehemently denied all allegations against him and any wrongdoing in relation to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. Another resident spoke of a significant press presence, saying: “The villagers don’t like that. It’s a quiet village.”
