Prince Harry could finally get his way at long last. Ever since quitting royal life in the UK in 2020 and relocating to the US, the Duke of Sussex has expressed discontent over the fact that his taxpayer-funded security arrangements in the UK have been downgraded.
In fact, he has been so passionate about wanting this level of police protection back for his UK visits that he has even taken the matter to court, arguing that he feels his home country is too unsafe to bring his children and wife to. While he lost the last court case earlier this year, news that the Home Office is reviewing his security situation in the UK again is undoubtedly a welcome surprise for the King’s youngest son.
While the Home Office is yet to issue its findings or a decision on Harry’s police protection, if it turns out that he can get this high level of security reinstated in the UK, then there will be two big winners… and it won’t be Harry and Meghan.

While the couple will no doubt feel relief at the news, which could see the Duchess set foot back on UK soil for the first time since 2022, the real winners would be their children, Prince Archie, 6, and Princess Lilibet, 4.
While still young, Archie and Lilibet have missed out on what it truly means to be a member of the Royal Family.
Not the pomp and pageantry, the Palace walls, or the big events… but the relationships.
Although they undoubtedly love life in America, they don’t frequently see their grandfather, King Charles, and, if reports are to be believed, they have only met him a handful of times.

They also don’t have any solid relationships with their cousins, aunts or uncles. They haven’t been able to joke around with Uncle William or play with cousins Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.
They haven’t been able to attend some of the most significant events in the royal calendar, including Christmas at Sandringham or Easter at Windsor. It’s a real shame.
Harry argues that he does not bring his children to the UK over safety concerns, so if he does, in fact, get UK police protection, then surely this will change.
And if it does change, Archie and Lilibet will be the real winners.
