In a recent candid livestream, influencer and entrepreneur Deja captured the digital spotlight as she opened up about the mounting pressures of her business empire and the turbulent shifts in her personal life just as the Christmas season approaches.
Challenges in a Saturated Beauty Market
Despite achieving notable success with her brand—most recently selling out her signature “coffee” lip liner—Deja admitted she is facing a strategic marketing puzzle. With the biggest shopping season of the year looming, her primary focus is clearing her remaining lip gloss inventory.
However, the influencer marketing landscape has become increasingly difficult for boutique brands. Deja revealed that hiring top-tier icons like Jada Cheaves or Ari Fletcher for promotion is now nearly impossible, as most of these stars have launched their own competing beauty empires. To break the deadlock, the entrepreneur is currently back at the drawing board, considering a partnership with rapper Lola Brooke to inject fresh energy into her year-end campaign.
Emotional Turmoil and the New York Exit

Beyond her economic concerns, Deja’s romantic life is undergoing a dramatic downturn. Shortly after arriving in New York, the influencer expressed being “super drained” both physically and mentally. Most notably, she bluntly shared her intention to walk away from her current relationship before Christmas, despite having already purchased matching holiday pajamas for the couple.
This emotional disappointment seems to have fueled a bold decision: leaving New York for Ghana. She revealed plans to depart immediately after finishing her business in the city and hinted at the possibility of a permanent relocation to the West African nation. “A man in Ghana messaged me with the sweetest promises. Perhaps it’s time to make that my new home,” Deja shared, visibly moved by the prospect.
Balancing Business and Brotherhood
Despite her grueling schedule and unstable spirits, Deja reaffirmed that family remains her absolute priority. Addressing concerns regarding her absence from her younger sister’s McDonald’s-themed birthday party, she explained that sheer exhaustion from her flight prevented her from attending. To make amends, she spent the following day treating her sister to a private outing. Deja spoke glowingly of her sibling, describing her as smart, loving, and her “favorite girl.”
The broadcast concluded on a poignant note, leaving fans with a deeper look at the price of fame and the invisible pressures content creators navigate behind the lens.
