Prince Harry quit royal duty almost six years ago, but he has always remained committed to his charitable endeavours. One of the charities that the Duke of Sussex has, and continues to support, is the Community Recording Studio (CRS) in Nottingham.
The duke has supported the youth centre since April 2013, and last visited just months ago. As well as visiting the centre in September, Harry gave the facility a massive donation of £1.1 million of his own money to Children in Need projects in Nottingham to support young people affected by violence. The money from this donation is resulting in big changes for the CRS, which uses music and sport to help young people. This is because the youth centre is planning to open a film school using Harry’s donation.

It is also hoped that the money will help replace the old building where it has been operating for more than 30 years, as reported by BBC News.
The studio’s founder and chief executive, Trevor Rose, said: “For him (Prince Harry) to help us out in that way shows what he’s recognised and seen over the years.
“He’s known us for over 10 years now. So for him to say ‘I’m willing to do this’ goes a long way.”
The centre also hopes that as well as a state-of-the-art recording studio, other changes could also be implemented, with proposals for a basketball court and a 4G football pitch.

Mr Rose said: “We’re going to evolve into being a film studio, we’re going to bring out young actors.
“So a film school releasing films, and acting classes, I think it’s a big step for us.”
When announcing his donation last September, Harry said: “Nottingham has my commitment, my respect, and forever a place in my heart”.
