Fans of cosy crime dramas have a reason to celebrate as the hit series The Marlow Murder Club has officially been commissioned for a fourth season. Adapted from the bestselling novels by Robert Thorogood—the creator of Death in Paradise—this project will return with six brand-new episodes, scheduled for release in 2027 on the streaming service U.

Key Cast Returning

The show’s success relies on its familiar faces. Samantha Bond will reprise her role as Judith Potts, the crossword-setter turned amateur sleuth. She will be joined by Cara Horgan as vicar’s wife Becks Starling, Jo Martin as dog walker Suzie Harris, and Natalie Dew as DI Tanika Malik. Additionally, series regulars Holli Dempsey (DC Alice Hackett), Phill Langhorne (DS Brendan Perry), and Tijan Sarr (DC Jason Kennedy) will return to complete the investigative team.

New and Challenging Mysteries

In season four, the trio will continue to put their “unconventional methods into practice to catch the killers”. The series will feature three new mysteries, including an adaptation of the 2025 novel Murder on the Marlow Belle alongside original storylines.

The upcoming episodes promise complex cases with unexpected twists:

The discovery of a body in the river linked to the Marlow Amateur Dramatics Society and a homegrown Hollywood star.

The sudden death of a man at his mother’s wake, which appears to be an allergic reaction but may hold deeper secrets.

The murder of a vineyard co-owner found drowned in his own wine.

Production Team Excited for the New Journey

Executive producers for Monumental Television, Alison Owen and Debra Hayward, shared their excitement about returning to the picturesque town of Marlow in a press statement: “We’re delighted to be back in Marlow for a fourth time, bringing three more murder mysteries to one of the most picturesque towns in England. Robert and Amy have expertly crafted yet another deliciously twisty set of crimes to be solved. Packed with intrigue, wit and heart, we can’t wait to bring these new adventures to the screen.”.

Filming for the new season is set to begin in Marlow, promising to maintain the blend of suspense and charm that has become the hallmark of the series.
