Prince William faced more public questioning about the former Prince Andrew while in Saudi Arabia
The Prince of Wales did not respond to a reporter’s question about how the royal family has handled new revelations related to Andrew’s ties to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein
Prince William and Kate Middleton, as well as King Charles, finally broke their silence on the issue by releasing statements this week

The scandal surrounding the former Prince Andrew’s ties to Jeffrey Epstein continues to plague the royal family during outings, including Prince William’s trip to Saudi Arabia.

The Prince of Wales, 43, is currently on a three-day royal tour in Saudi Arabia at the request of the U.K. government. On Tuesday, Feb. 10, the heir was on his way to MISK Sports City in Riyadh to meet with young people in their sports programs when he walked past a group of onlookers, including some journalists.

One reporter raised their voice to ask, “Sir, to what extent do you think the royal family has done enough around the Andrew and Epstein issue?” as seen in a video shared by Express.

It was unclear whether Prince William heard the question, but he did not respond.

This latest incident comes just one day after Prince William and his wife, Kate Middleton, 44, broke their silence on the controversy surrounding Andrew and new details of his relationship with Epstein, amid the release of new Epstein files by the U.S. Department of Justice.

On Feb. 9, William and Kate released a statement via a spokesperson that read, “I can confirm the Prince and Princess have been deeply concerned by the continuing revelations. Their thoughts remain focused on the victims.”

The Prince and Princess of Wales were heckled about Andrew during their joint visit to Scotland late last month. As they shook hands with locals outside of a pub in Fallin on Jan. 20, an onlooker repeatedly yelled, “How long have you known about Andrew and Epstein?”

Footage of the moment was shared on X by Republic, a group calling for the abolishment of the monarchy in the U.K.

King Charles, 77, and Queen Camilla, 78, have also been heckled and publicly asked about Andrew multiple times in recent weeks.

During a visit to Essex on Feb. 5, the royals were questioned about their thoughts on a possible police investigation of Andrew. The day prior, the Queen was asked if she had a message for the Epstein victims as she arrived for a visit at a London primary school

While they haven’t responded to the questions in public, the King also shared a statement via Buckingham Palace on Feb. 9.

In his statement, the monarch specifically responded to the recent news that Andrew may be facing a police inquiry over allegations that he shared confidential information related to his role as a trade envoy with Epstein.

“The King has made clear, in words and through unprecedented actions, his profound concern at allegations which continue to come to light in respect of Mr. Mountbatten-Windsor’s conduct,” the palace said in the statement.

“While the specific claims in question are for Mr. Mountbatten-Windsor to address, if we are approached by Thames Valley Police, we stand ready to support them as you would expect,” it continued.

“As was previously stated, Their Majesties’ thoughts and sympathies have been, and remain with, the victims of any and all forms of abuse,” the palace concluded.
