Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor is reportedly relocating to a dilapidated farmhouse in Norfolk. In the wake of controversy over his association with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, the 65-year-old is set to move out of the 30-room Royal Lodge next year.

In addition to losing his royal titles and honours, Andrew has been asked by his brother, King Charles, to vacate the property. Upon his move, Andrew is set to move to the King’s Sandringham Estate.

While it has not been confirmed which home Andrew will move to, it has been widely reported that Marsh Farm has been chosen after a ‘no-fly’ order was extended to cover the property. Marsh Farm has been described as “shoebox-sized”, but one royal expert has claimed that this description is not as it seems.

Former BBC royal correspondent Jennie Bond told the Mirror that the home is “not quite as out in the cold as it may seem”.

Ms Bond added: “Marsh Farm appears to be a perfectly pleasant old farmhouse, set in its own grounds. Apparently, it will need a fair bit of work, but if that’s true, it will undoubtedly be done at the King’s own expense.”

Marsh Farm is situated approximately seven miles from Sandringham House and is also located near the secluded Wood Farm property that was much-loved by Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh.

Speaking of the location of the new home, Ms Bond claims that Andrew is “totally familiar” with the surroundings of Marsh Farm.

Ms Bond also added that he won’t be isolated in his new residence, having been a frequent presence on the estate throughout his life.

She added: “He spent many childhood days playing on the estate, sometimes with Diana, the late Princess of Wales and as an adult he has spent numerous holidays there. And I’m sure he has friends in the area. So it’s not quite as ‘out in the cold’ as it may seem.”
