Concern is growing for a missing 12-year-old girl thought to have travelled more than 200 miles from home.

Police believe Falon indicated she had hoped to reach Liverpool, a significant journey from her home in Basingstoke, Hampshire. Falon was last seen in the Tadley area of Basingstoke at approximately 3pm on Monday March 9.

But her family became worried when they were unable to reach Falon and told Hampshire Police. Taking the rare move to issue an update to the press in the early hours of today, the force appealed for help from members of the public and shared a photograph of the missing child.

It is thought she had travelled to either Liverpool or London Waterloo, the latter a 50-mile trip from her hometown, but police say none of her relatives have heard from the youngster since Monday afternoon.

The police statement reads: “Can you help us find missing Falon? The 12-year-old was last seen around 3:00pm yesterday (Monday 9 March) in the Tadley area of Basingstoke. She has not been seen or heard from since.

“We are now turning to the public for their help. We believe Falon may have travelled to Waterloo, London, and arrived around 7:30pm yesterday evening.

“She has also indicated she may be travelling toward Liverpool. We’re asking anyone who has seen her or knows where she is to get in touch with police immediately.”
