Meghan Markle’s latest Instagram video gave royal fans a look at some of Prince Harry’s cherished mementos.

The Duchess of Sussex, 44, posted a video to her Instagram Stories on Thursday, Feb. 5, celebrating the launch of her As ever brand’s most recent collaboration with luxury chocolatier Compartés. In the clip, she surprised Harry, 41, in his office at their Montecito, Calif., home, where he was seated barefoot at his desk, with the family’s rescue beagle, Mia, resting in a basket nearby.

Meghan presented the new collection of four flavors to her husband, who exclaimed, “Ooh, yes please,” as he selected the white chocolate bar with flower sprinkles and hemp hearts.

“White chocolate? You got it,” Meghan commented before Harry replied, “Thank you, love you.”

The exchange also provided a look at Harry’s office decor, which features a few items of sentimental value.

One of the most visible in the clip is a glass display case featuring what appears to be a collection of military patches. The patches were reportedly gifted to the prince by the Ukrainian team from the Invictus Games, the international adaptive sports tournament for veterans and service personnel that Harry, a veteran of the British Army, founded in 2014.

Displayed on the wall just behind Harry is a card that reads “Love You Papa” on the front, likely a joint gift from Harry and Meghan’s children, Prince Archie, 6, and Princess Lilibet, 4, who refer to him by the moniker.

Next to the card is a photo that, while just barely visible in the video, eagle-eyed royal fans recognized as a portrait of Harry with his beloved late mother, Princess Diana.

The image of Diana — in a white swimsuit, short-cropped hair held back by sunglasses atop her head, a beaming young Harry hugging her from behind — is featured in the Duke of Sussex’s 2023 memoir, Spare. He included the personal pic at the end of the prologue, in which he writes lovingly about his late mother.

“Although my mother was a princess, named after a goddess, both those terms always felt weak, inadequate. People routinely compared her to icons and saints, from Nelson Mandela to Mother Teresa to Joan of Arc, but every such comparison, while lofty and loving, also felt wide of the mark. The most recognizable woman on the planet, one of the most beloved, my mother was simply indescribable; that was the plain truth,” Harry wrote.

“And yet…how could someone so far beyond everyday language remain so real, so palpably present, so exquisitely vivid in my mind? How was it possible that I could see her, clear as the swan skimming towards me on that indigo lake? How could I hear her laughter, loud as the songbirds in the bare trees—still? There was so much I didn’t remember, because I was so young when she died, but the greater miracle was all that I did. Her devastating smile, her vulnerable eyes, her childlike love of movies and music and clothes and sweets—and us. Oh how she loved my brother and me. Obsessively, she once confessed to an interviewer. Well, Mummy…vice versa.”

Prince Harry and Meghan moved their family to Montecito in 2020, after stepping back from their roles as working royals and amid the family rift that Harry details in Spare.

Meghan has shared some small details about their California abode, including the one feature that inspired her As ever logo: two palm trees in their backyard that connect at their base. In a 2022 interview with The Cut, Meghan shared how the trees caught Harry’s eye when they first toured the house.

“One of the first things my husband saw when we walked around the house was those two palm trees,” she said. “See how they’re connected at the bottom? He goes, ‘My love, it’s us.’ “

“And now every day when Archie goes by us, he says, ‘Hi, Momma. Hi, Papa,’ ” Meghan added.
