Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are “just rich people” with nothing left to offer, journalist Marina Hyde has said in a scathing analysis. Ms Hyde discussed the Duke and Duchess of Sussex during The Rest is Entertainment podcast, which she co-hosts with TV presenter and author Richard Osman.

And she did not hold back as she tore into the couple’s collapsed Spotify deal, branding them “grifters” who endlessly recycle their single royal-exit victim story. She said: “Nobody cares about watching her make lavender biscuits for her ex-hairdresser,” calling their output “bull**** and boring”. She continued: “I mean, they are out of fashion, they’re not very talented, and they have a hugely overstated idea of their cultural relevance.”

She added: “A guy who used to run one of the big talent agencies, I think UTA, said they’re just not very good.”
