A shocking murder case has rattled Melbourne as authorities announced charges regarding the death of Patrick Longordo, a man with ties to the bikie world.

Around 3 a.m. on May 15, a group allegedly executed an organized break-in at Longordo’s private residence in South Morang. The victim was forcibly dragged from his home and pushed into a waiting car. According to police allegations, Longordo was murdered shortly thereafter, and his body was dumped in a park in Tarneit at approximately 4:30 a.m. that same morning, an hour’s drive from the kidnapping scene. Following the crime, the group allegedly set fire to the getaway vehicle on Mt Mary Road in Eynesbury later that morning.
Notably, two children and another man were present in the house at the time of the abduction, though they were not physically injured. Patrick Longordo has been identified as a relative of a former long-time president of the notorious Mongols motorcycle gang chapter and was known to police.
A large-scale crackdown on Wednesday morning saw investigators execute eight search warrants across several suburbs in Melbourne’s outer-west, including Wyndham Vale, Mambourin, Werribee, and Tarneit. A police spokesperson stated: “Special Operations Group members took a 23-year-old Truganina man into custody at his home address,”. Additionally, authorities confirmed: “Also taken into custody were four 17-year-old boys and one 18-year-old man.”
As a result, the four 17-year-olds and the 23-year-old man have been charged with a series of serious offenses: murder, kidnapping, aggravated home invasion, and criminal damage by fire. The 18-year-old man from Point Cook has been charged with assisting offenders and criminal damage by fire.
Currently, the 23-year-old and 18-year-old suspects are awaiting their appearance at the magistrates’ court, while the four 17-year-old boys will face a children’s court. Victoria Police are urging the public to provide any footage or information related to the case via Crime Stoppers at 1800 333 000 or their official website.
