Meghan Markle is said to be unimpressed after the backlash her Netflix show received, as industry sources claimed there is “no plan” to bring it back. The Duchess of Sussex released two seasons of With Love, Meghan and a holiday special, which were all filmed at the same time in 2024.

Both seasons and the special episode were savaged by critics, while the latest Netflix figures showed they struggled to spark interest. The second season ranked 1,224th among the most-watched programmes on Netflix between July and December 2025, while the Christmas special ranked 1,022nd.

The first season performed slightly better, ranking 383rd globally with 5.3 million views.

But after Netflix downgraded the Sussexes’ deal last year with a new one on a “first-look” basis, there has been no announcement that a third season of Meghan’s show is on the cards, with the Duchess reportedly wanting to focus on her lifestyle brand, As Ever, this year.

An industry insider told Radar Online: “There is no plan to bring it [With Love, Meghan] back as an ongoing series.

“While there has been some loose discussion about the possibility of occasional holiday-themed content, those talks have gone nowhere, and there is nothing concrete or actively in development at this stage.”

Another source added: “Meghan is still expected to share cooking, entertaining and lifestyle ideas, but in a much more contained way. Instead of a full television series, the focus will likely shift to short, tightly managed content on her own social channels, where she has greater control and far less exposure to criticism.”

Meanwhile, the Duchess is said to be taken aback by the reaction her show’s received.

A source close to the production alleged: “The viewing figures and internal rankings hit her very hard.

“Watching the show sink so low in the data was deeply embarrassing for her, and when that was combined with the relentless wave of online negativity, it became emotionally exhausting and extremely difficult for her to cope with, so she has decided to park it for now.”

The Duchess of Sussex has not commented on the claims nor the rankings.
