Meghan Markle made a reference to her daughter, Princess Lilibet, during her latest appearance in Utah. The Duchess of Sussex attended the premiere of Cookie Queens during the Sundance Film Festival on Sunday, in Park City, Utah.

She was joined by her husband, Prince Harry, who posed with her on the red carpet. While on the red carpet, Meghan, who is an executive producer of the documentary, spoke to the media about the new project and Girl Scouts. She revealed her own dreams about her second child and told ExtraTV: “As a mother, I find it really inspiring to parent in the way that we are and to grow and develop and nurture our daughter to be a really strong lady like these girls are as well.”

Cookie Queens is a documentary about four girls who “strive to be a top-selling ‘Cookie Queen,’ navigating an $800 million business in which childhood and ambition collide.”

Harry and Meghan serve as executive producers through their media company, Archewell Productions.

They are two of the 13 executive producers of the film, including Chanel Pysnik, Regina K. Scully, Hallee Adelman, Ann Lewnes, Stephen G. Hall, Ruth Ann Harnisch, Geralyn Dreyfous, Tegan Acton, Emma Pompetti, James Costa and Trevor Burgess.

The documentary was directed by Alysa Nahmias, who also served as producer, alongside Produced by Michael Dweck, Gregory Kershaw and Jennifer Sims.

 

During a speech at the early morning screening on Sunday, the Duchess praised the documentary as the “cutest film” at the festival.

Having been introduced on stage as “Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex”, she waved as she walked onto the stage and was met with loud cheers and applause when she took to the podium.

Meghan said: “This film, yes, is probably the cutest at the festival. But I’m also going to go out on a limb and say it is one of the most powerful and meaningful depictions of something that is an American tradition and rooted in nostalgia.”
