Prince Harry received a special souvenir for his kids during a meaningful Australia tour stop.

On the second day of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s trip Down Under, the Duke of Sussex, 41, made a solo visit to Movember, a global charity founded in Melbourne in 2003 to improve men’s health. The meeting took place at Mission Whitten Oval, the headquarters of the Western Bulldogs, a professional Australian rules football club.

While Harry and Meghan’s children, Prince Archie, 6, and Princess Lilibet, 4, didn’t join their parents for the trip, the Bulldogs made sure they weren’t forgotten. Representatives from the club presented the duke with two kid-sized royal blue Bulldogs jerseys with “Archie” and “Lilibet” emblazoned on the back.

Harry got a crash course in Aussie Rules football from Western Bulldogs players Tom Liberatore, Adam Treloar and Matthew Kennedy. The ball, known as a “Sherrin,” can be kicked or handballed using a clenched fist.

“He kicked the ball OK, actually,” Treloar told PEOPLE at the event. “When foreigners come to Australia and pick up a footy, the handballing can be a bit awkward, but Prince Harry’s kicking form was good.”

After greeting guests with a friendly “G’day everyone!” Harry opened up about becoming a father when Archie was born in 2019, and how he and Meghan approach parenthood as a team.

Fathers from local community groups and representatives from parenting and family organizations were invited to the fun event, where small children were entertained with crafts and invited to make their own paper crowns.

And Harry wasn’t the only famous face, as members of the iconic Australian children’s entertainment group The Wiggles were also in attendance.

Movember started as a group of friends growing moustaches during the month of November. It has now become a worldwide campaign to fund research, deliver innovative programmes and drive open conversations that challenge stigma, encourage early intervention and help men live healthier and more connected lives, with a focus on mental health, suicide prevention, prostate cancer and testicular cancer.

Harry closed his Movember appearance with a message to fathers about mental health and the realities of parenthood.

“You’re not alone,” he said, pointing to new research on Australian dads. “This report proves so many of the underlying feelings that so many guys and dads have — and that in itself is transformational. Rather than it just being opinion or discussion or something that’s not talked about, to see it in statistics, I think, will hopefully give anyone the confidence to know however you have been feeling, however you are feeling, is replicated in the vast majority of individuals.”

He added that many fathers are actively trying to parent differently than they were raised, signaling a broader cultural shift.

“There’s an evolution happening here, and I think the more guys that come forward and talk about it, the higher those numbers will be because those numbers are remarkable and very telling in a culture where it’s not really talked about,” he said.

Calling the findings “revolutionary,” he praised Movember’s work — and offered a final note of encouragement.

“To the dads and soon-to-be dads: yes, it’s messy. You’ll have a rollercoaster of emotions — and don’t judge yourself,” he said.

Prince Harry has a previous connection to the organization. During an October 2025 visit to New York City, the Duke of Sussex made an unannounced appearance at a reception hosted by Movember. The event unveiled “The Real Face of Men’s Health: USA,” a report by the Movember Institute of Men’s Health that dives into what’s killing men and why 53% die prematurely.

Reflecting on his mental health journey and calling to make therapy more available to men, Prince Harry said, “I found myself speaking to many veterans and sitting down with them, I realized the silence is killing people. Stamping out the stigma globally, we’ve come a long way. Access to therapy is still a massive problem.”

Prince Harry and Meghan, 44, touched down in Australia on April 14, local time.

Their first day of engagements in Melbourne included stops at the Royal Children’s Hospital, a gathering with veteran families at the Australian National Veterans’ Art Museum and a solo outing for Meghan at a shelter for women experiencing family violence, homelessness and related challenges.

After his Movember visit, Prince Harry will travel to Canberra to visit the Australian War Memorial, meet with Indigenous Veterans, attend a reception for Invictus Australia and attend the Last Post Ceremony
