Prince William has settled the debate about whether there is any chance of him meeting with Prince Harry during his UK trip next week. The Duke of Sussex is set to travel back to the UK next week to give evidence in his legal action against the publisher of the Daily Mail, Associated Newspapers Limited (ANL).

The trial is set to begin on Monday, January 19, with Harry taking the witness stand in London on Thursday, January 22. It was widely claimed that Harry’s older brother, the Prince of Wales, would not be in England during his trip.

Next Tuesday, William and Kate will spend an away day in Scotland to meet the Team GB and Paralympics GB curling squads ahead of the Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games in Stirling.

However, the heir’s diary for Thursday, the day that Harry will testify, remained unclear.

But Kensington Palace made a new announcement today, revealing that William will be in Bristol for a day of engagements linked to causes close to his heart.

The prince’s visit to Bristol will aim to showcase January showcasing the city’s “trailblazing achievements in sustainability and its role as a driving force for innovation in the UK,” according to the announcement.

William will visit Matter, an Earthshot 2025 finalist, to learn about its innovative filtration technology system designed to prevent microplastics from entering our waterways and oceans.

He will meet with the start-up’s team and is expected to take part in a hands-on demonstration of the company’s domestic filtration system, which can be fitted to household washing machines to capture harmful microfibres

William founded the Earthshot Prize in 2020 to identify, celebrate, and back ambitious solutions to repair our planet.

King Charles will also likely be in Scotland next week, with the Duke’s chances of a royal reunion looking very slim.

The Duke is reported to have “no plans” to see his father, as per The Telegraph.
