Princess Beatrice is set to avoid spending Christmas with her disgraced father, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, opting instead for a skiing holiday abroad with husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi and friends. The 37-year-old princess faced a painful dilemma after receiving invitations to join the King at Sandringham and to celebrate with her exiled parents at Royal Lodge.
In a bid to sidestep embarrassment and family tensions, Beatrice has chosen neither, heading to the slopes to escape the fallout from her father’s Jeffrey Epstein links, reports The Sun. Younger sister Princess Eugenie remains undecided, although she is likely to spend the festivities with her husband, Jack Brooksbank.
An insider described Andrew as “very much like the Grinch,” noting festive cheer is in short supply amid fresh Epstein file releases deepening his disgrace. Sources reveal Royal Lodge lacks its usual decorations this year — no wreaths on the gates or tree on the roof — marking a sombre final Christmas before Andrew and Sarah Ferguson vacate the mansion.
