DiDi Australia speaks out following the incident where a female passenger was allegedly s3:xually ass@:ulted by one of their drivers
A rideshare driver has been charged over the alleged kidnapping and sexual assault of a teenage girl on Sydney’s north shore.
The 17-year-old girl was picked up from Lindfield and was on her way to work on Tuesday morning, when about 20 minutes into her journey she was allegedly sexually assaulted by the DiDi driver.

Police were called to Carlow Street in North Sydney at 7.30am, where the teen was assessed and then taken to hospital.
The driver, named as 50-year-old Mongolian man Amarbayasgalan Yondonlodoi, was allegedly still driving for the service when he was arrested at Sydney International Airport.
He’s now facing kidnapping and sexual assault charges and will remain behind bars until he fronts court again in July.
In a statement to nine.com.au, Didi Australia said the driver has been suspended from the platform and the service is now working with police.
“The safety of the entire ridesharing community is always our top priority. All passengers should feel safe and respected during their trip, and we will continue our mission to maximise the safety of our platform for the wellbeing of our passengers,” a spokesperson said.
“We will continue to work with law enforcement and the regulator in their continued investigations and provide support to the passenger when needed.”
