A MAN and a woman have been charged after an innocent mum was tragically shot dead outside a bar during a Bank Holiday night out.

“Beautiful soul” Shanice Brookes, 30, was found with serious gunshot injuries in Sheffield, South Yorkshire, in the early hours of Monday.

South Yorkshire Police said Shanice was an innocent bystander “enjoying a night out” when she was shot.

Emergency crews were scrambled to the One Four One bar on West Street in the city centre at around 2.45am.

The 30-year-old digital creator was rushed to hospital but, despite the best efforts of medical teams, tragically died of her injuries.

Officers later arrested two 30-year-old men and a 32-year-old woman.

Jemele Rhone, 30, and Deiryen Dyce, 32, have now been charged in connection with Shanice’s death, cops confirmed.

The other man arrested on suspicion of murder has now been released and is no longer being treated as a suspect, the force added.

Rhone, of Outram Road, Sheffield, has been charged with murder, possession of a firearm and possession of criminal property.

Dyce, of Ellesmere Road North, Sheffield, has been charged with assisting an offender and possession of ammunition.

She also faces charges of possession of drugs with intent to supply, possession of drugs and possession of criminal property.

The pair have been remanded into custody and will appear at Sheffield Magistrates Court later today.

Issuing a touching tribute through cops, Shanice’s heartbroken family hailed her as ” truly one of a kind”.

It read: “Shanice had the biggest heart and the kind of energy you could never forget.

“She was a deeply loved daughter, granddaughter, niece, cousin, friend and godmother, as well as being an amazing mum to her son, who meant the world to her.

“To her cousins, she was more like a sister – someone they could always turn to for love, laughter and support.

“Shanice was also due to graduate from university, a reflection of her determination, ambition and the bright future ahead of her.

“She could light up every room she walked in to with her infectious laugh, beautiful soul and magical aura.

“Shanice made people feel loved, safe and valued simply by being herself.

“She was truly one of a kind and she will be missed by all who were lucky enough to know and love her.”
