Meghan Markle was mocked by fans for “cosplaying” Audrey Hepburn, after she uploaded a new picture on her As Ever website. The Duchess of Sussex’s brand, As Ever, now has a new picture of Meghan gracing part of its website, just days after she announced the launch of new and old favourites for Valentine’s Day.

The new black and white image shows the Duchess holding what appears to be a folded, white A4 page on the side, with “As Ever” written on it. She dons a patterned cloche bucket hat, like Audrey Hepburn in 1961’s Breakfast at Tiffany’s, a light, quarter-sleeve top and dark sunglasses.

The photograph is accompanied by the message: “As Ever is more than a brand – it’s a love language.

“Created by Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, As ever welcomes you to a collection of products, each inspired by her long-lasting love of cooking, entertaining, and hostessing with ease.

“This curated collection has been crafted to elevate your every day and inspire moments of joy.”

Several fans took to social media to express their distaste for the photograph.

One user wrote on X: “That’s one seriously ugly hat. Completely bizarre photograph, even the positioning of her hands looks really strange and uncomfortable.”

A second user said: “I guess she’s trying to emulate Audrey Hepburn. As if! [laughing face emoji].”

A third one added: “She’s trying to do Audrey Hepburn in Breakfast at Tiffany’s. The hat has too small a brim, Audrey’s was the same sort of shape but bigger.”

A fourth one said: “She’s trying to look like Audrey Hepburn and has once again, FAILED MISERABLY.”

Another said she was “cosplaying Audrey Hepburn again” with another agreeing she was doing it “badly.”

Another one added: “She is trying to be Aubrey Hepburn.”

It comes as the Duchess is bracing for a busy Valentine’s period with two major launches announced.

Meghan has already released a new set of jam trio gift boxes and announced there is another launch coming this week in partnership with Los Angeles chocolatier Compartes.
