A man and a woman died in what appeared to be a murder-suicide, according to police in Johns Creek, Ga.
Authorities said that a child first called 911 on Sunday, June 7, to report that his parents, identified as Richard Holladay, 52, and Martha Holladay, 43, had been involved in a domestic dispute
Detectives believe Richard shot and killed Martha before turning the gun on himself
Police in Johns Creek, Ga., were called to a residence after receiving a 911 call from a child reporting that his parents had been involved in a domestic dispute at home, only to find that the two adults were dead in an apparent murder-suicide.
911 dispatchers received the 911 call from the boy at around 11:30 p.m. local time on Sunday, June 7, the Johns Creek Police Department said in a press release.
When police arrived at the home, located on North Hillbrooke Trace in the northern suburbs of Atlanta, he told officers that his parents had been in an argument that escalated into a shooting.
Investigators found two adults — identified as 52-year-old Richard Holladay and 43-year-old Martha Holladay — fatally shot.
“Preliminary investigations indicate the female died from a gunshot wound to the head and that the male died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head,” police said in a statement. “Although investigations are early and ongoing, detectives believe the male shot and killed the female and then took his own life.”

Police also said they had never responded to an incident at that home before Sunday, per the outlet.
Authorities said that the investigation was in its early stages, but it is believed to be an isolated, domestic incident and there is no known threat to the public.
