JUST 5 MINS AGO: PRINCE HARRY MADE AN UNEXPECTED REMARK DURING A LIVE INTERVIEW… AND ROYAL WATCHERS CAUGHT IT IMMEDIATELY
Eagle-eyed fans spot Prince Harry’s major blunder during new interview
Prince Harry has sparked backlash after describing his occupation as “Prince of England” during a podcast appearance.
Prince Harry has been criticised by royal fans after candidly describing his occupation during a recent podcast appearance. The Duke of Sussex, 41, appeared on the Joe Marler Will See You Now podcast earlier this week, where he spoke about family life, his military background and his current role.
Marler then asked Harry what his occupation was, prompting the Duke to reply: “Full-time dad. British Army veteran. Prince of England. Duke.” His response quickly circulated online, with some royal watchers taking issue with the wording and accusing him of misrepresenting his title.
The comments sparked a wave of criticism on social media, with several royal fans questioning Harry’s description of himself. Taking to X, one user penned, “Wait! Harry, when asked about his occupation, says he’s the Prince of England. First of all, how is being a Prince an occupation? Also, saying ‘Prince of England’ isn’t technically correct.”
Before adding, “You’d think he would know this. But we can’t expect much from ol’ Ginger nuts!”
Another fan agreed, sharing: “What an embarrassment to the Royal Family, they really do need to strip their titles, he is such a dumb prince!”
While a third chimed in, “I may be his status, but it is absolutely not his job. A job is something you work at. A job can be defining. Harry is a prince by birth, and he has spent years abusing the title. Ridiculous little man.”

Much of the backlash centred on Harry’s use of the phrase “Prince of England”, with critics arguing that it was not technically accurate.
Prince Harry remains a prince by birth and still legally holds the style of His Royal Highness (HRH), although he no longer uses it in an official capacity.
When he and Meghan, 44, stepped back as senior working royals in 2020, an agreement with Queen Elizabeth II meant they retained their Duke and Duchess of Sussex titles but agreed to stop using the HRH style for public and commercial purposes. Although they no longer undertake official royal duties, their HRH status was never formally removed through Letters Patent.

While Harry remains a prince and continues to hold the title Duke of Sussex, he is no longer a working member of the Royal Family.
His title comes from the British monarchy rather than England alone, which is why members of the Royal Family are not generally described as the “Prince of England.” England is one of the four nations that make up the United Kingdom, alongside Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.
Harry’s official title is Prince Henry (Harry), Duke of Sussex, reflecting his place within the British Royal Family rather than representing England as a standalone nation.
During the interview, host Joe Marler introduced the royal as “Henry Albert Charles David, Duke of Sussex”, before referring to Meghan Markle’s well-known nickname for him, adding “H” for
