Prince Harry stepped out for a solo appearance at the TIME100 Sports Gala in New York City on Thursday. The 41-year-old’s latest appearance comes just days after he returned from the UK, with his visit mainly focusing on his appearance at the one-year countdown for the 2027 Invictus Games
The Duke of Sussex is also known to have, joined by his wife and two children, visited the King and Queen at Highgrove House last Friday. Seen posing on the red carpet on his arrival at yesterday’s event, Harry was quietly named one of the TIME100 Most Influential People in Sports 2026 in the “Leaders” category.
The royal could also be heard telling awaiting media that they were “the most polite set of photographers that I have ever met in my life”.
Before Thursday’s event, TIME honoured Harry for his work with the Invictus Games.
Speaking of the Games, Harry told TIME that he was inspired to create the games on an international scale.
He said: “I thought, ‘Wow, look at the power of sport, look at how it is literally changing lives in front of my very eyes.’

Although he met with the King and Queen last week, it has been reported that Prince William and Princess Catherine are “totally over” the drama surrounding the Sussexes.
Royal expert Robert Jobson said on The Sun’s latest episode of Royal Exclusive: “To be honest, I think they rise above it, William and Catherine. I think they rightly do. They’ve got enough on their plate. You know, she’s been recovering, and they’re planning for their future.
“Their children are doing their own thing. You know, their oldest son, George, is going up to Eton [College]. I think they’re totally over the whole Meghan and Harry circus.”
