David Muir fans heartbroken over ‘terrible tragedy’ linked to American Idol

David Muir has left fans “heartbroken” over a breaking news story about a double homicide.

The host of ABC World News Tonight has had fans feeling all kinds of emotions lately as a few were left “yawning” over a Beyonce segment and others were in tears over his coverage of the deadly Texas floods, which included an interview with a “hero” Coast Guard rescue swimmer who saved 165 individuals affected by the disastrous floods.

During the latest episode, fans were once again left devastated when the host shared the news of one of American Idol’s producer’s “horrible” death.

David started off the segment detailing the “chilling double homicide” of the reality series’ producer Robin Kaye and her songwriter husband Thomas Deluca.

The host revealed law enforcement officials found the couple in separate rooms of their Los Angeles home with gunshot wounds to their heads.

“The victims were ruthlessly shot multiple times,” authorities had shared with Muir’s team.

Authorities in Los Angeles have arrested the perpetrator Raymond Boodarian, who “scaled one of the fences” while the couple was out of the house.

Once they had returned, he allegedly shot and killed both of them “during a struggle.”

Police had visited the house just a few days prior after receiving a call about a possible burglary. At the time, the LAPD believed “there were no signs of trouble.” However, they now believe the murders happened that night.

The two were discovered after the police came to do a “wellness check,” according to Amee Fageen.

While David’s team spoke to Amee Faggen, the neighbor, she recalled, “The family had said they hadn’t heard from him in four days.”

Officials are currently performing an investigation to find the murderer’s motive and if he had any previous ties to the couple. Until it is completed, viewers are left “heartbroken” by David’s coverage of the incident.

One said, “Terrible tragedy! I just don’t understand why this had to happen.”

Another wrote, “Damn, my deepest condolences to the family and friends of the victims.”

While a third chimed in, saying “smh this is so sad. and for what,” a fourth pondered, “Can’t help but wonder if they could have possibly been saved had police been able to check on them a little better on Thursday either way loss of life is always tragic.”
