The series, which is inspired by a real U.S. Military program, follows the life of Joe McNamara as she attempts to juggle her personal and professional life as a senior CIA officer.

Lioness returns with a third season in August
In the upcoming third season, “hidden networks, foreign operatives, and personal betrayals collide,” according to the synopsis.
It continues: “Joe (Saldaña) walks the line between duty and home as unseen forces circle her world. Patterns appear where they shouldn’t, names vanish, and paths rearrange. Guided by Kaitlyn (Kidman) and Westfield (Michael Kelly), Joe confronts enemies operating in the shadows, leaving her to reckon with a war that now reaches into every part of her life.”
Who stars in season three?
Guardians of the Galaxy and Avatar star Zoe Saldaña leads the series as Joe, alongside Babygirl‘s Nicole Kidman as Kaitlyn Meade and Locke & Key‘s Laysla De Oliveira.

The new season promises a chaotic ride as the team faces its most personal assignment yet
Michael Kelly (Black Mirror), Morgan Freeman (A Good Person), Dave Annable (Yellowstone), Jill Wagner (Wipeout) and LaMonica Garrett (1883) also star in the series.
Rounding out the cast are Jill Wagner, James Jordan, Genesis Rodriguez, Austin Hébert, Jonah Wharton, Thad Luckinbill, Hannah Love Lanier and Ian Bohen.
