Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s credibility in ‘jeopardy’ after humiliating failure

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s credibility is in “jeopardy” following the release of their documentary, Cookie Queens, a royal commentator has claimed. The Archewell-produced documentary, which follows four American Girl Scouts as they attempt to sell cookies, was released over the weekend and took less than £250,000 from 446 cinemas and failed to make the top 10 releases. During an appearance on Kevin O’Sullivan’s TalkTV show, Kinsey Schofield, argued that the Sussexes’ ambitions and expectations appear to be much higher than what they have actually delivered.

She said: “Their expectations were so high that they were under the impression that they were capable of executing that type of work. And the reality is they’re having to sell this movie of a bunch of little girls trying to sell cookies. That is a pretty devastating blow. When Megan was reaching out to Beyonce and Taylor Swift and Megan Thee Stallion trying to get interviews for her own shows and was being turned down, and this is what you actually have executed.”

She continued: “My argument has been that it’s not the end of the world because Cookie Queens has blown up, but your credibility is in jeopardy because the one thing that you have put your name on that you’ve actually executed has failed.”

Kinsey went on to question what happened to their other announced projects, including the upcoming film and a scripted polo series, suggesting that many of their promised projects have failed to materialise.

“Where are all of these other promised projects that Harry and Meghan throw out there and then never come to fruition?” she asked.

In a brutal assessment of the couple, Kevin said “success is alien to them” as so many of their projects have failed.

“I think that neither of them have even a scintilla of talent. They’re just untalented people and they certainly don’t understand the commercial world, what people are interested in,” the presenter declared.

Kinsey replied: “I have had to argue a couple of times that this is not a one-off or a warning sign. What we’ve established is a pattern. You know, the Polo series was not a commercial success for Netflix.

“Live to Lead was whatever the opposite of a commercial success. Part of Invictus was a major fail for Netflix. These are just a few of the documentary style projects that Harry and Megan have put together that have not been successful.

When she pointed out that the couple’s Netflix documentary, Harry & Meghan, had been a success, Kevin argued that their projects only succeed when they are “trashing the royals”.
