Disappointed but Undeterred
Taking to Instagram, Dunn did not hide her disappointment over the missed opportunity to head to the ballroom. She wrote:
“Well, this chapter didn’t end the way I’d hoped. Of course I’m disappointed. I wanted this more than I can put into words.
But if this journey has taught me anything, it’s that saying your dreams out loud isn’t something to be embarrassed about. It’s brave. It’s vulnerable. And whether you get the outcome you’re hoping for or not, there’s something really powerful about backing yourself.”
The actress remained defiant, adding that she won’t give up on her dream of one day stepping onto the famous dancefloor. For months, Dunn had been heavily campaigning for a place on the show, launching a weekly social media push that she jokingly dubbed “delusional.” Her dedicated efforts had previously caught the attention of major outlets, with the star even being tipped as a potential contestant on ITV’s Good Morning Britain.
Career Pivot and Financial Success

Dunn is best known to British television audiences for her long-running role as Mandy Richardson on the Channel 4 soap Hollyoaks. However, she was famously axed from the show following her decision to launch an OnlyFans account.
While the departure sparked widespread debate at the time, the career pivot has proven to be an incredibly lucrative venture. She is now reportedly raking in a staggering seven-figure income from the platform, where subscribers pay £11 a month for access to her content.
Following her candid update, friends and fans quickly rallied around her. TV and radio presenter Claira Hermet offered words of encouragement, commenting: “TRUST THE TIMING! It’s already done.”
Rumoured Names for the New Series
While the official line-up is still being finalized, speculation is mounting over which celebrities will be competing for the Glitterball trophy this year. Several high-profile names have already been linked to the upcoming series, including:
Lacey Turner (EastEnders star)
Dani Dyer (Love Island winner)
Delta Goodrem (Singer-songwriter)
Jake Quickenden, Jeff Brazier, and Josie Gibson (TV personalities)
While Dunn’s absence will undoubtedly disappoint her supporters, the star-studded list of rumored contestants promises another highly anticipated and competitive season for the BBC flagship show.
