Multiple shots were fired at the 37-year-old outside a property on Malacca Street in Heidelberg West about midday on Wednesday.

He was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
Those responsible fled in a car and have not been found.
Police believe the shooting was targeted and are investigating the circumstances surrounding the attack.
