Prince George, the king-to-be, has been given a wholesome nickname by his schoolmates, which even his parents have begun to use. The 12-year-old will be starting secondary school in September and begin the next phase of education.
When he heads to his new school, which has not yet been confirmed, the young prince’s nickname could even be picked up with his new peers. Most people will remember their classmates calling them a name in school, and the young prince is no exception, with his peers creating a wholesome nickname for him.
At his current school, the future King has been nicknamed “PG” by his peers – a nod to his initials.

His nickname has reportedly caught on at home, too, with Princess Catherine and Prince William reportedly joining in.
The prince’s parents also sometimes call their son “PG Tips”, like the tea brand, reports The Sun.
Prince George’s top two choices for secondary school are thought to be the all-boys school Eton College in Windsor, where William and his brother Prince Harry went, or the co-educational Marlborough College in Wiltshire, where Catherine studied.
But Prince George is not the only member of the Royal Family with a nickname. His sister, Princess Charlotte, also has an adorable nickname.
Prince William was reportedly overheard saying this nickname at the 2019 Chelsea Flower Show.

He reportedly called his adorable daughter “Mignotte”, which is French for “cute.” One woman who met the couple said Princess Charlotte’s parents also call her “Lottie.”
The lady told the Daily Mail: “I said he is four and she said ‘oh, he’s the same age as Lottie’ — she calls her Lottie!”
The youngest of the family, Prince Louis, also has a sweet nickname which his mum was overheard saying at a royal engagement.
While toasting marshmallows with the scouts, she said, “Pop that on the fire, Lou-bugs.”
All three children currently attend Lambrook School in Berkshire. Prince William recently confirmed that Prince George is already boarding at Lambrook, in preparation for secondary school. Fees for the term at Lambrook cost up to £10,669.
