Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor has reportedly thrown a tantrum at the new home he has been given by King Charles, it has been claimed. The former Duke of York, 65, is expected to leave his 30-bed Royal Lodge home for good within weeks to move to a farmhouse on the King’s private Sandringham estate.

While the farmhouse is of sufficient size, it is believed Andrew is not the biggest fan of his new living arrangement. This is believed to be down to the fact that the property, which is still undergoing renovation work, is much smaller than Royal Lodge, with only five bedrooms. It is believed that Andrew visited the “ramshackle” house last week for the first time and threw a tantrum over the size of it.

The Mirror reports that Andrew is reportedly “appalled” by his “poky” new home. A source told the Daily Mail: “He really didn’t want Marsh Farm.

“He won’t have lived anywhere that small since he left his apartment at Buckingham Palace.”

As well as being disappointed by the size of the farmhouse, which comes with various outbuildings, it is believed Andrew may also be upset with other problems the property currently has.

This includes the fact that pest control has been spotted at the home, with the reasons for this being unclear, and the property – which is two miles from the main Sandringham House – could be at risk of flooding.

This is because the home is on a flood plain.

While these factors make the property seem undesirable, it has been reported over the last few weeks that renovation work at Marsh Farm has been ongoing, and measures have been taken ahead of Andrew’s move-in date.

Royal author Robert Jobson told HELLO!: “Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor seems to be kicking his heels. The disgraced royal has made it clear to the King and courtiers who sent him packing, that he is going nowhere fast.”
