One person has died and five others, including two children, have been injured in a shocking crash in Sydney‘s west.

Emergency services were called out to Stuart Rd in Dharruk after a car hit a tree just before 5.20pm on Sunday.

Police said officers at the scene found a man “partially ejected” from the vehicle.

The man, who is believed to have been a passenger, died at the scene.

Two men, a woman and two toddlers were treated by paramedics before they were rushed to Westmead Hospital and The Children’s Hospital at Westmead.

Police said the adults involved in the crash were reported to be in serious but stable conditions. The two toddlers, believed to be boys, were reported to be in stable conditions.

A crime scene has been established and specialist officers attached to the Crash Investigation Unit (CIU) are attending, police said.
