Air ambulance medics ‘spent hours’ battling to save Ozzy Osbourne’s life
An air ambulance landed at Ozzy Osbourne’s country mansion as paramedics fought to save the Black Sabbath singer’s life
The Mail reports that one villager “realised something serious” was happening when they heard a helicopter hovering above Welders and saw it land nearby.
The Thames Valley Air Ambulance landed in a field near Welders’ House, Ozzy Osbourne’s Grade II-listed mansion, on Tuesday morning at 10.30 am. It’s believed calls from the property had led the operator on the end of the phone line to believe the 76-year-old rocker’s life was in danger, according to reports.
The helicopter was dispatched from the Thames Valley base in Wallingford, Oxfordshire, around 27 miles from his Buckinghamshire mansion. The crew was reportedly airborne for 15 minutes before landing on the mansion’s grounds. It is also understood that the medics were with Ozzy for around two hours trying to save his life, but sadly, they were unable to revive him.

The chopper was seen taking off again at roughly 12.30pm. A resident, who asked to remain anonymous, told the publication: “I went out to have a look and saw that it was landing close to Ozzy’s house.
“All of us were talking about it and wondering what had happened. We immediately feared it may be for him as he was known to be in fragile health. When we heard later that night that he had died, it confirmed our worst fears.”
Thames Valley Air Ambulance has been contacted by Express.co.uk for comment.
The cause of the Crazy Train hitmaker’s death is yet to be confirmed following the news of his passing, which went public on Tuesday evening.

Last night, his death was announced by his heartbroken family in a statement which read: “It is with more sadness than mere words can convey that we have to report that our beloved Ozzy Osbourne has passed away this morning. He was with his family and surrounded by love.”
Tributes from around the globe have been pouring in for Ozzy – also known as the Prince of Darkness- who died just weeks after Black Sabbath’s monumental concert on July 5. He leaves behind his beloved wife Sharon Osbourne and his six children.
A source exclusively told Express.co.uk: “Sharon is heartbroken. She knew this day would come, but it’s still a huge shock. Ozzy was the love of her life, and she is simply heartbroken that she has lost her best friend.”
