A Surprise Return, A Love Triangle and One Final Decision: Dylan’s Farmer Wants A Wife Journey Takes a Dramatic Turn

Ally’s surprise return to Farmer Wants A Wife stunned everyone at the black-tie dinner.

While sheep farmer Dylan couldn’t hide his excitement, her dramatic entrance wasn’t welcomed by everyone, reigniting tensions just when it seemed her journey was over.

After walking away from the farm, Ally said leaving only confirmed her feelings for Dylan.

“I left from a place of hurt and I came back in a place of clarity, as simple as that,” Ally said.

“I had time to really reflect and realise that my feelings for Dylan were still very strong.

“It was kind of like going through a break-up in a way — leaving didn’t switch that feeling off, just gave me space to breathe.”

Returning to the show meant facing the very real possibility of rejection, but Ally said she was willing to take that risk for love.

While she never admitted it on camera, Ally confessed she was in love with Dylan.

“I don’t think I ever admit it on the show, but definitely 100 per cent,” Ally said.

“I think after our last date, especially, Dylan and I actually had a moment off camera.”

Ally said making her surprise entrance at the black-tie dinner was the most nervous she had ever been.

“I had the driest mouth. I’ve never had such a dry mouth,” Ally said.

“I was so nervous, but I was willing to put myself literally in the face of rejection to shout out to the hills, ‘I want to be here and I’m committed’.

“I took a risk coming onto the show and I couldn’t really play it safe in that environment.

“This was about taking risks for love, which I think is important.

“I wanted to be brave and own what I am actually feeling, and not just be in a self-protective mindset.”

For Dylan, seeing Ally walk back into the black-tie dinner was a moment he won’t forget.

“I remember she walked in and she was wearing this shiny dress — it was real pretty,” Dylan said.

“I was gob-smacked and then it was excitement, and the tunnel vision took over everything again.

“It was so great to have Ally back because I wanted her to stay.

“But if it was going to work between us, I needed to trust it wasn’t going to happen again, that she wouldn’t run away again.”

The pair reunited with a kiss but, while it was a moment of reassurance for Ally, it came at the expense of Dylan’s connection with Scarlett.

Scarlett — who Ally described as her “best friend” on the farm — was particularly hurt by what unfolded.

“Scar was very upset, which I completely understood,” Ally told 7NEWS.com.au.

“I would have been the same.

“We are all in a really intense situation and I don’t blame her for reacting the way she did.

“She’s my best friend, we are joined at the hip, so it was a really tough situation trying to navigate being a good friend while also pursuing what I went on to the show for.”

Dylan agreed Scarlett’s reaction was understandable.

“If it was me in that moment, I would have done the same thing,” Dylan said.

“I felt terrible because Scarlett has stood by me and I’ve essentially just done her dirty in front of her, which is very disrespectful.”

Despite his overwhelming emotions after Ally returned, Dylan admitted he still hadn’t made up his mind.

“Scarlett and I have this dynamic that is, I wouldn’t even know how to explain it — it’s like having a best mate who you muck around with, I’ve never had that before.”

While Ally said she had empathy for Scarlett, she couldn’t ignore the connection she shared with Dylan, especially after he kissed her.

“We’re all in a really heightened, vulnerable environment,” Ally said.

“I can understand how that moment would have been super difficult for the girls to watch but the kiss was a good form of reassurance … we get in trouble for kissing a lot.

“When it comes to Dylan and I, when we are with each other, everything else kind of fades away.

“I know he says that he has tunnel vision, I have tunnel vision too. It’s a beautiful thing, but also it’s not everything.

“It’s not a guarantee of anything because Scarlett’s beautiful and she’s got all these qualities that I admire, and Dylan admires as well.

“We’re both two amazing girls that bring different things to the table.

“So even with the kiss I still didn’t know where I stood and there was a possibility that I could be facing rejection and heartbreak.”

Dylan pleaded with Scarlett to stay, leaving one final question hanging over the season: who will he choose?
