Renovation work is ongoing at the former Duke of York’s new home

There has been much discussion about the former Duke of York still being in the line of succession, with him currently sitting eighth in line to the throne.

King Charles is expected to hold private conversations with Commonwealth leaders about potentially removing his brother from the royal line of succession.

Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor’s new property, Marsh Farm, has had luxury carpet installed ahead of the former prince’s move.

The former Duke of York is currently living at Wood Farm, while work continues at his new residence.

 

Workmen from family-run company Linney Cooper were spotted at the property in Wolferton.

The company, which holds two Royal Warrants, provides luxury carpets and has installed flooring in numerous royal residences.

Windsor Castle, Buckingham Palace and Kensington Palace have seen work done by the group.

As revealed by HELLO!, a van from the five-star company has been seen at the property, to go along with Sky TV being installed and a fence nearly completed.

Images indicate that only a gate is necessary to finish the six-foot-high wooden barrier currently being built around the Wolferton property.

Once complete, it will cover the majority of the two-storey house from the nearby public road.

The Government is currently examining legislative options to strip Andrew of his position as eighth in line to the throne.

However, any such move would necessitate approval from all 15 Commonwealth realms that recognise Charles as their head of state.

Sources indicate the process could potentially span several years before reaching completion.

It remains unclear whether Andrew’s daughters would face similar consequences, with no decision yet taken on Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie’s positions.

Beatrice currently holds ninth place in the succession, with her two children following, while Eugenie occupies twelfth position.

The allegations against Andrew include claims he shared classified information with associates, including convicted paedophile Jeffrey Epstein.

Andrew has always denied any wrongdoing, including his Epstein links, but has not directly responded to the latest allegations.
