Police are not ruling out foul play after finding a man’s body lying face down in a creek in Sydney’s north-west.
The grim discovery was made around 10.15am on Friday, when officers searching for a missing person arrived at Torry Burn Reserve in Baulkham Hills.
Police made the discovery during a coordinated bushland search. 9News
A crime scene was immediately set up, cordoning off the entire reserve as water police, specialist divers, and forensic teams combed the waterway and surrounding bushland for evidence.
The man has not yet been formally identified, and the body has been sent for urgent forensic testing to determine the cause of death.
Detectives from Strike Force Lanrik are leading the investigation to figure out how he died and whether suspicious circumstances played a role.
