WHAT LEVEL OF DELUSION IS HE ON..?! – A 27-year-old woman was left speechless after her date made a shocking demand, saying he expected a “housewife” from the very beginning of their relationship.

Viewers horrified by 23yo model’s ‘housewife’ demand on first date

A man’s “scary” first date demand left his 27-year-old match stunned, and thousands questioning the bleak reality of modern dating.

A man’s “scary” first date act has gone viral, prompting a wave of concern for the woman on the receiving end of his brutal interrogation.

Aired on Channel 7’s First Dates Australia, 23-year-old model Tyler began the blind date by stating that he struggles to find women “on his level,” before going on to humbly rate himself “a ten out of ten”.

After barely exchanging pleasantries, he wasted no time in dropping the very pointed question to 27-year-old nurse Kristal, asking: “Would you ever be a housewife?”

Kristal blinked several times, visibly stunned by the abrupt and outdated demand.

“No. No, I need to work,” she swiftly replied, likely assuming that would be the end of the topic.

Instead, Tyler doubled down.

“Do you think that’s why you haven’t found a partner?” the 23-year-old shot back, leaving Kristal gobsmacked into silence.

When she tried to explain that she enjoys being an “independent woman” with ambitious career and financial goals, Tyler swiftly cut her down: “You don’t need to be independent. Why am I here then? What do you need me for?”

Dating expert Sera Bozza told news.com.au that the underlying message of the televised date is what concerned her the most.

“What felt most uncomfortable was that he kept pushing past her answers, like he was testing whether her independence is negotiable,” Bozza explained.

Tyler then suggested that Kristal’s independence is the reason that she’s still single. Picture: 7Plus

“He wasn’t at all curious about her because he had already decided what her answer meant,” she said, noting that he clearly held the beliefs that “any woman wanting to work, earn money and be autonomous must be a threat”.

The expert also pointed out the glaring hypocrisy of Tyler’s attack on Kristal’s relationship status, noting that they were both single and on the exact same date.

“Where is the part where he considers that maybe interrogating women about their life choices is not exactly doing wonders for his dating life, either?” she added.

For anyone trapped on a bad date, the expert said it’s important to remember that you don’t owe someone an instant response just because they put you on the spot.

“You can always pause, take a breath and give yourself time to work out what you actually feel, instead of rushing to keep the conversation comfortable for them,” she shared.

Bozza added that if someone makes you feel physically or emotionally unsafe, you can simply go to the bathroom, text a friend, or leave the venue without over-explaining.

She also recommends paying close attention to how matches speak about the opposite sex during the vetting stage and asking tailored, intentional questions.

‘Girl, RUN’

Thousands of viewers have since weighed in on the viral clip, slamming Tyler’s behaviour, claiming he is “delusional”.

“He’s definitely the type of guy who sells courses on Instagram to help men become like him,” one shocked viewer commented.

“A man who doesn’t want you to work is not the same as a man who wants to support you,” a second said.

“A man who wants to support you will be fine with you working. A man who doesn’t want you to work is a man who wants to control you. Huge difference,” she continued.

“OMG what level of delusion is he on. I’d be so scared!” another chimed in.

“He’s dead serious. Girl, RUN!” a fourth concerned user wrote.

Others said they wouldn’t have stuck around for dessert, with one stating: “I’d be asking for the bill!”

Unsurprisingly, when the pair were asked by producers if they’d like to see each other again at the end of the night, they very quickly agreed to go their separate ways.
