JUST IN: PRINCE WILLIAM’S DEVASTATING TWO-WORD RESPONSE TO PRINCE HARRY ABOUT HIS UK VISIT!

Prince William’s devastating two words about Prince Harry ahead of UK visit

With The Duke of Sussex back in the UK, the Prince of Wales has reportedly dealt his brother a harsh blow.

Only weeks after King Charles’ coronation, he got to the important business of turning down the thermostat on the Buckingham Palace pool, but those nippy waters are nothing compared to the icy situation that Prince Harry, The Duke of Sussex finds himself in today.

The duke is back on British soil for a series of charity engagements, a trip that had initially promised to feature a grand rapprochement with his father and involving his wife Meghan, The Duchess of Sussex and their children.

On Monday, Harry found out that he had nowhere to stay in London after Charles reportedly ‘lost patience’ with his son’s flip-flopping on his offer of accommodation at Buckingham Palace, thus necessitating the duke’s aides, I’m assuming, to scramble some high level booking.com action.

So, what is going to happen over the next few days of Harry’s UK trip? Will loud voices thunder down phone lines and emotional sniffles be heard coming from multiple London locations? Will stormy texts wing their way between vying intra-Palace factions and a cold drip-sipping comms team used to working on the Montecito time zone? Ultimately, will cups of oolong end up being shared by the King and the duke?

Given my crystal ball is on the blink, I can’t tell you, but there is one call we can say with dead certainty that Harry will not be getting. The name ‘Willy’ will not be flashing up on Harry’s phone screen any time soon or possibly, ever. Like, ever-ever.

Because Prince William has reportedly done something that not that long ago seemed impossible – he’s “moved on” from his brother. So far on, in fact, that Harry no longer reportedly has William’s number.

Harry, according to ex-People editor Dan Wakeford’s Celebrity Intelligence newsletter, is “desperate to speak to William” but, “the estrangement cuts deeper than anyone on the outside realises”, two people intimately connected with the duke told Wakeford.

The yawning rift between California and London “has turned into something more lethal for him than anger — a cold war. Except for his father … his relatives have moved on.”

An insider in Harry and Meghan’s world told Wakeford: “He’s hurt and can’t get to William as he has no avenue to communicate with him.

“He sees William blossoming and he secretly had hoped that William would have more of a struggle and need him. He’s been waiting for the call and that would be his dream come true. He regrets leaving.”

Unfortunately, sources close to Harry confirmed to Wakeford that even if he did get his hands on his brother’s new digits, “William wouldn’t pick up.”

In June, news.com.au’s Bronte Coy exclusively reported that the duke had made several attempts to reach out to his brother, “but there had been radio silence in return.”

“It’s been one-way traffic,” a source close to Harry told Coy.

Said a source to Wakeford: “Harry is aware his relationship with William will likely never be fully mended”.

Said a second: “He regrets certain accusations he made because they made mending things with his brother quite literally impossible.”

There is now a “firewall” in place, per Wakeford, and the Prince of Wales is “done with drama”, having undergone “a permanent royal reset.”

And so, the iceman cometh.

For William, this is a major shift because, while he might like to radiate electric scooter riding, cool Dad sangfroid, all reports suggest the man has a temper that can be Vesuvian. In the early days of Megxit, with Oprah Winfrey’s stunned soundbites and Netflix and Spare’s claims ringing in his well-washed ears, his anger at his younger brother was reportedly as hot as molten lava.

But those days are over, according to former Vanity Fair editor and uber-insider Tina Brown, with William having left the rage phase behind him and adopted a much more cutting approach – The Great Blanking.

The Duke of Sussex, Brown has written on her Fresh Hell Substack, “very much misses William, the only other person who knew what it was to be Diana’s son.” But before the string section soars here, it is “too late.”

“Except for his father, who would dearly love to reconcile with his younger son, his relatives have moved on.”

An old friend of William’s, Brown wrote, had told her that “whenever he spent time with [the prince] in the years since Megxit, William’s sense of betrayal by Harry was a constant theme but, during a recent long conversation, Harry’s name never even came up.”

Indifference might just be the harshest cut of them all.

Still, there is a wildcard, third man here, the King’s deputy private secretary Theo Rycroft. Having only joined His Majesty’s team earlier this year, Rycroft has made it his “number one mission” to reunite the brothers, according to the Daily Mail.

Rycroft reportedly think the deep estrangement has become “f**king ridiculous” and want to sort it out “urgently”.

One source told the Mail: “He thinks it’s time to knock their heads together. The mood is, ‘He’s not wrong’”.

However, it does not bode well for Rycroft’s chances that “William has allegedly barred any mention of Harry in his presence”.

One prince having “moved on” while another is pining for his sibling is all very sad stuff.

The Queen Mother and George VI were fond of referring to their family as “we four”, so what are the chances of ‘we two’ ever getting back together? Get to it Theo, you clearly have your work cut out for you.
