IT’S NOT EASY TO ACCEPT THIS..! – After sharing their dream $825,000 abandoned villa renovation with millions of fans, Milly and Louis have announced they have split up halfway through the project.
YouTube Renovation Stars Milly and Louis Split Up Midway Through Restoring Their Dream Victorian Mansion
For millions of followers around the world, Milly and Louis became the faces of one of YouTube’s most beloved renovation projects. Together, they documented every triumph, setback, and painstaking detail involved in transforming Belgrave Villa, an abandoned Victorian mansion in Swansea, Wales.

But now, the couple behind the hugely popular channel have revealed that they have separated after five and a half years together.
With 1.9 million Instagram followers and nearly half a million YouTube subscribers, Milly and Louis announced the emotional news in a video update, confirming that Milly will continue restoring the sprawling seven-bedroom property on her own.
Months of Speculation
Fans had been noticing changes for months, especially after Louis quietly disappeared from videos earlier this year and took a solo five-week trip to Australia.

Addressing the rumors, Milly admitted she delayed making an announcement because she herself wasn’t sure what the future would look like.
“I didn’t want people to think I was holding back for clickbait,” she explained. “Unfortunately, Louis and I have split up.”
The pair bought Belgrave Villa in 2024 for £410,000 (about AUD$825,000). The former bishop’s residence had sat abandoned for six years after previously being owned by the Catholic Church.
Their DIY journey quickly attracted a devoted audience who fell in love not only with the spectacular restoration but also with the couple’s playful chemistry and Louis’ building expertise.
A Difficult Decision
After separating, the couple faced difficult conversations over who would keep the house and whether Milly could financially manage such a massive undertaking alone.
“It wasn’t just who wanted the house,” Milly explained. “Both of us are attached to this place. It was also about whether I could afford it.”
Mortgage advisers, accountants and financing discussions added to the emotional stress.
Despite everything, Milly ultimately decided to continue.
“It’s hugely overwhelming, but it’s a challenge I want to set myself,” she said.
She admitted taking on more responsibility has boosted her confidence and helped her develop skills she never expected to learn.
No Bad Blood
Although their romantic relationship has ended, Milly stressed there is no bitterness between them and urged followers to stop criticizing Louis.
The two first met 13 years ago and have maintained a close friendship. In fact, Louis recently returned to Belgrave Villa to inspect the work Milly completed in his absence, offering advice and joking with her during the visit.
Louis hinted that he may start his own renovation project in the future, possibly involving an abandoned art gallery nearby.
He also thanked supporters for following their journey.
“There have been so many opportunities we never expected,” he said. “It’s a shame I don’t get to carry it on, but that’s life.”
A New Chapter Begins
Despite the heartbreak, Milly remains determined to finish what they started.
“The goal stays the same,” she told viewers.
“I want this house looking beautiful, and nothing’s going to stop me.”
Then, laughing through the emotion, she added:
“And now I’m going to have a crippling mortgage… if you don’t laugh, you’ll cry.”
As Belgrave Villa enters a new chapter, fans around the world are rallying behind Milly as she takes on the ambitious restoration project alone.
