Also known as Tash, the high profile former royal aide, who has launched a luxury consultancy, spent 15 years working at Kensington Palace
any attribute the brilliant evolution of the Princess of Wales’ wardrobe, and indeed the royal’s transformation into a global fashion icon, to Natasha Archer. She worked at Kensington Palace, the hub of Prince William and Princess Kate’s household, for 15 years, becoming the Princess’ right-hand woman and the creative force behind her most iconic looks.
After a decade and a half as the woman behind the Princess’ most polished public moments, Natasha is finally stepping into the spotlight herself, and on her own terms. The woman who famously chose the blue Jenny Packham silk dress Kate wore in 2013 to introduce Prince George, has traded her Palace pass for a CEO title.
In July 2025, Natasha amicably stepped down from her role as Senior Private Executive Assistant to the Waleses in order to embark on a new professional chapter. She has since launched her own luxury consultancy – and, in a rare glimpse at her life as a Palace insider, has opened up about the one thing she found most “frustrating” about her time working at the Princess’ side.
‘It’s quite frustrating’
Speaking to The Telegraph, she revealed that she wasn’t simply a “stylist”. While the world was captivated by the Princess’ sartorial choices, Natasha was actually also busy handling details like Kate’s itinerary and managing projects.
Essentially style was only one piece of a much larger puzzle. “I often get referred to as a stylist, and it’s quite frustrating,” she said. “There are a lot of other things that came with my role and with what I’m offering now with my consultancy. I’m not a traditional stylist, I’m looking at everything. Even admin support. I feel like it’s a unique talent that I can bring to specific people.”

Reflecting on her tenure with the royal couple, she assures that it was “an extraordinary privilege and I hold it so close to my heart. I’ve made incredible friendships there and I look back on my memories totally fondly and I just feel really grateful to have had that opportunity.”

She later added: “I learnt so much from the people I was working for. It’s planning, it’s being ready, it’s offering an unwavering level of support to who you are working with. And my work has definitely evolved now, but my standards remain the same.”
Applying royal ‘precision’ to her new venture
She told the publication that her new firm’s burgeoning portfolio includes clients from both the UK and overseas. Her approach, perhaps no surprise given her career background and the fashion connections she has forged over the past decade and a half, is as detailed as you might expect.

“Precision is one of my key words,” she told the Telegraph, “and helping my clients understand where they are going is a huge focus of my business. It’s everything – what floor are you going to be walking on? How hot is it going to be? Is it going to be windy? Are you going to be sitting in a prominent position? Are you going to be up and down saying hello to guests? Don’t wear linen for something you’re going to be sitting in for hours… Knowing all of this then makes them feel ahead of the game.”
But Natasha’s world isn’t just about her work. In her personal life, the luxury consultant is also a mother of two. The former royal aide married renowned royal photographer Chris Jackson in 2017 in a private ceremony at Château Rigaud near Bordeaux in France, surrounded by close friends and family. The couple now have two young sons, aged seven and four.
