He added: “It’s impossible for both princesses.”

Over the Christmas period, a royal commentator claimed that Andrew urged his daughters to spend Christmas at Sandringham with King Charles so they could report back on what he had missed.

Royal fans showed their support for Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie after they were seen during Christmas celebrations.

Beatrice was due to go skiing over Christmas, but was believed to have changed her mind and joined her sister with the rest of the Royal Family.

The sisters followed the King and Queen Camilla, who led the way during the traditional walkaround on Christmas Day, alongside their husbands, Jack Brooksbank and Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi.

Royal author Ingrid Seward made the claim, explaining that she believed Beatrice and Eugenie did not have a choice.

The sisters kept their princess titles after Andrew was stripped of his.

She told the Sun: “Andrew said to them ‘you have to go’. He wants to know what’s going on and what people are saying about him.

“They are Andrew’s only passport into the Royal Family now. I’m absolutely sure he persuaded them.”

Beatrice and Eugenie kept their princess titles, with the King said to be very keen to “protect” his nieces.

A source told the Daily Mail: “He wouldn’t have wanted to sign off on anything that would impact them.”

Earlier this week, Beatrice and Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi’s youngest daughter, Athena, celebrated her first birthday.

The royal’s christening took place last month at the Chapel Royal in St James’s Palace, drawing an intimate gathering of aristocrats, musicians and influential figures from the philanthropic world.

Following the private ceremony, attendees continued celebrations at a nearby pub, marking a notably understated approach compared to the grand christenings typically associated with royal infants.

The occasion brought together some of the couple’s closest friends and family members for what proved to be a significant event.
