The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are currently in Jordan on a ‘royal tour’.

Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet are not on their parents’ trip to Jordan for one reason, it has been revealed. The young royals have not accompanied their parents, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, to Jordan this week as the royal couple, who quit royal life in 2020, carry out a humanitarian trip alongside the Director-General of the World Health Organisation, Dr Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus.

While it is well known that Harry and Meghan do not like being away from their children, it is believed that Archie and Lilibet have not joined their parents on the two-day trip for one reason. That reason is their school schedules.

This means that Archie, six, and Lilibet, four, who both attend school in the US, need to stay at home so they can attend their classes.

It is believed either their nanny of six years, or their grandmother Doria Ragland, will be looking after them.

This will include school pick-up and drop-offs daily in Meghan and Harry’s absence.
It is also believed that as the children are young, Harry and Meghan’s trip – which has seen them learn about serious issues – may not be appropriate for Archie and Lilibet.archie lilibet

So far on Meghan and Harry’s visit to Jordan this week, The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have travelled to the regional headquarters of the World Central Kitchen and heard about the huge logistical task of feeding a million Palestinians in Gaza.

The couple also paid a visit to a hospital in Amman where they met with children evacuated for medical reasons from Gaza, ravaged by more than two years of war between Israel and Hamas.

Harry and Meghan also visited the social development organisation Questscope’s youth centre to hear from young people participating in creative and wellbeing programmes.
