The former Duke of York is currently living in Wood Farm on the Sandringham Estate as his permanent home, Marsh Farm, is renovated
ndrew Mountbatten-Windsor received a very unexpected guest over the weekend – just hours before his brother, King Charles, swerved a meeting between them.
The former Duke of York, 66, appeared to welcome a private visit from the King’s vicar, Reverend Canon Paul Williams, on Saturday night. Williams, the Domestic Chaplain to the King, was seen driving into Wood Farm on the Sandringham estate, where the former prince is currently living.
His red car was seen going down the main driveway to Wood Farm, where Andrew has been temporarily living for the past month while Marsh Farm is renovated. It is not known how long he stayed or why he visited.
The Reverend is the rector of the Sandringham group of parishes, joining in 2023 after moving from Tewkesbury Abbey in Gloucestershire.
The apparent meeting with Andrew came just hours before the vicar led the service at St Mary Magdalene church on the Royal estate, which King Charles attended on Sunday morning. Despite being in very close proximity to his disgraced sibling, HELLO! understands that the monarch has not visited Marsh Farm, has not seen Andrew, and has no plans to do so.

Andrew’s most recent public appearances
Andrew is not known to attend church regularly, but used to make appearances alongside senior royals on special occasions, such as Easter and Christmas.
He was seen attending the Easter service at Windsor in April 2025 with King Charles and Queen Camilla. He also went to the Christmas Day service at St Mary Magdalene Church in 2023, which was led by Canon Paul Williams.

King Charles III arrives at St Mary Magdalene, the parish church at Sandringham, Norfolk for a Sunday service
He was last seen with senior members of the royal family at the Duchess of Kent’s funeral last September, where he was joined by his ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson.
King Charles attends church as normal
The King stepped out for a quiet outing at Sandringham on Sunday, heading to a service at St Mary Magdalene without his wife, Queen Camilla.
Charles, 77, donned his classic camel-hued overcoat and a grey suit and wore a yellow ribbon as a nod to St David’s Day, the feast day of Wales, as a yellow daffodil is the country’s primary national emblem.

The outing came after it was revealed that the monarch had retreated to Sandringham after a busy week as he continues to navigate the fallout from the arrest of his brother, Andrew, on 19 February, on suspicion of misconduct in public office.
The King has maintained business as usual since the arrest, and has been seen on a variety of outings, including London Fashion Week, visiting a military barracks in Hampshire, and hosting a reception at St James’s Palace.
