Andrew Mountbatten Windsor and Sarah Ferguson’s daughter Princess Beatrice has been married to Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi since 2020
rincess Beatrice and her husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi usually keep their family life strictly out of the spotlight, but Edoardo’s father has now made a rare and surprisingly candid comment amidst recent reports surrounding the couple’s marriage.
Alessandro Mapelli Mozzi, 74, was recently approached regarding speculation of marital woes between the beloved royal and his property developer son. However, the Italian aristocrat offered a rather cryptic response, making it crystal clear he has no intention of being drawn into the rumours.
“I have plenty of opinions, but I am not going to talk about them,” he told the Daily Mail, adding: “It’s not my affair, you should go and talk to my son about it.”
Last month, both Princess Beatrice and Edoardo appeared to present a united front when they were spotted dining together at Eel Sushi Bar in Notting Hill.
Denying the rumours
The outing came just days after friends of the couple exclusively told HELLO! that reports of them facing marriage difficulties were “not true at all”.
A source said the couple, like many others, are “balancing” physical distance because of work with family life, after Edo was spotted taking a number of trips overseas.
They said: “The only thing Bea and Edo are navigating are their busy jobs and looking after their children! They’ve both had recent stints working abroad and like so many working parents, have [been] balancing work with looking after the kids.

Princess Beatrice and Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi married in 2020
“Recent reports that things aren’t good between them are not true at all. Things are great between them and the only distance between them recently has been physical distance because of work!”
Over the past few weeks, Beatrice has been maintaining a low profile following her father, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor’s arrest in February. He was arrested on suspicion of misconduct in public office during his time as a trade envoy for the United Kingdom.
