Sky Sports pundit Danica Patrick welcomed the New Year with an uncommon and intimate reveal that instantly captured fans’ interest. The former NASCAR star, who regularly appears on Sky Sports as part of their F1 coverage, is renowned for maintaining privacy around her personal life. However, she recently posted an Instagram carousel that offered a fleeting look at her mystery partner.

Patrick, 43, shared a collection of images from her New Year’s festivities. She captioned the post: “Not so new, New Year’s pics. Kinda pumped for 2026.” Nestled amongst snapshots with mates was a blurred selfie showing Patrick planting a kiss on an unnamed man’s cheek at a celebration, alongside another image of the duo enjoying Jenga with companions.

She refrained from tagging or naming the gentleman, preserving his anonymity despite the obvious public show of romance.

The upload marked the most recent subtle acknowledgement that Patrick is in a relationship.

She initially made the romance public in December, just months after revealing to audiences she was unattached.

During an appearance on the Believe in the Good podcast in June, Patrick faced a direct query about her romantic status.

“Are you single right now?” presenter Haley Dillon enquired. Patrick answered simply, “Yeah.”

In September, Patrick posted a photograph of herself embracing a man at the Burning Man festival, though she provided no further information at that point.

By December, the mysterious partner surfaced once more in a festive post, with Patrick resting her head on his shoulder.

In the caption, she wrote: “After 16,000,000 twinkling lights… I am a little more ready for Christmas.”

Patrick’s hesitancy to openly label her relationships follows a series of well-documented romances, particularly with NFL quarterback Aaron Rodgers.

The pair were together for two years before parting ways in July 2020, a split Patrick has described as deeply painful.

During an appearance on The Sage Steele Show in May, she described it as the most difficult period of her life.

“Because it was so sudden,” Patrick explained. “It felt like it was my life. So when you live with somebody, it’s your whole life.”

Since that time, Patrick has been cautious about what she discloses publicly.

On her own Pretty Intense podcast, she revealed why she seldom maintains friendships with former partners.

“If I’ve been with you in that way, like, I love you, I care about you, I don’t see you as a friend,” she said. “If it was a serious [relationship], I’m probably never gonna speak to you again.”
