Since the latest Jeffrey Epstein revelations exploded last weekend Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor has been seen relaxing on horseback close to his Royal Lodge home. When humiliated daughter Princess Beatrice met her shamed dad last month with her four-year-old daughter Sienna – to criticism from some royal fans for her misguided loyalty – Andrew was again out riding.

Guess what the once-prince was doing after he was stripped of his royal titles and honours last October? You got it – galloping on his steed around Windsor. What about when there was outcry last April after Andrew made his first public appearance in a year at the King’s Easter church service? Yup – he was seen out riding and laughing.

Last quiz question – what do you reckon he was up to on December 13 last year, the same day he lost his vice-admiral honorary military rank? You got it, he was AGAIN photographed out riding.

Rather than helping US senators and Epstein victims by revealing all he knew about the dead American, he seems happier trotting around Berkshire.

Andrew – who strenuously denies any illegal behaviour or knowledge of any criminality – has been repeatedly accused of arrogance and bluster but he is not stupid.

The former Duke of York knows after each of these big news events the gaze of the world’s media is on him. He knows they are desperate to see how he reacts.

Will they snap Andrew looking heartbroken at his ill-judged past association with the paedophile? Will Andrew be in tears thinking of the evil American’s poor victims?

Not only that, but whatever he is seen doing is a reflection also on his older brother the King and the entire Royal Family.

And closer to home – what he does reflects on the perception around his two innocent daughters Beatrice and Eugenie and their young children and families.

So why he brazenly chooses to always be seen to be enjoying what many see as the symbol of wealth and privilege – galloping a horse around your mansion’s expansive grounds – is damning.

It’s as though Andrew simply doesn’t care – he’s sticking two fingers up at the US Epstein investigators, Epstein’s victims and the Royal Family.

Last weekend we had to endure images of ‘Randy Andy’ on all fours on the floor, with his hand on a woman lying on her back.

God knows what he was doing – I doubt it was an annual CPR resuscitation first aid refresher course.

Now, with that unsettling new image, Andrew is back in the spotlight but could change the narrative completely, take ownership of his shameless relationship with Epstein and past lies over when he cut off links to the pervert.

Sadly he’s too busy larking about on the back of a nag.

It’s not a great look – but a picture is worth a thousand words, and that says it all.
