Prince William accidentally lets slip Prince George’s major new school update live on air
The details about the future King’s boarding situation were confirmed live on air, when Prince William appeared on Heart Radio

s Prince George continues his final year of study at Lambrook School in Berkshire, matters of where he will continue his secondary education have been a hot topic of conversation among royal commentators.
Whether he will follow in his father’s footsteps and attend the hallowed halls of Eton College, or find his feet at his mother, the Princess of Wales’ Alma Mater, Marlborough College in Wiltshire, is yet to be confirmed, but on Friday, Prince William revealed the one way Prince George is preparing for his new school.
The eldest Wales sibling is currently boarding at Lambrook, William, 43, a detail revealed while William appeared on Heart Radio with Amanda Holden and Jamie Theakston.
On the programme, the Prince was encouraged to give his children a shout they could listen to while on the school run, to which William happily obliged.

Lambrook School is situated near Windsor Castle
“Charlotte and Louis, because George is boarding last night, Charlotte and Louis, if you’re listening, make sure you’re on time, please, make sure you’re not fighting over who listens to what, this morning,” he quipped.
Discussing whether the morning routine is “chaotic” in the Wales household, the future King said: “It can be it depends if there is a guitar lesson or a music lesson, you have to get the guitar in the car, no we aren’t taking the car, are we boarding are we not, are we seeing friends or are we not, all of that going on in the morning.”
Boarding at Lambrook
According to the school website, children aged 7-13 can stay from five nights a week to one night every so often. The website states there are two boarding houses, Lambrook House for girls and Westfield for boys. Each house is overseen by a house parent and supported by tutors.

George will go to secondary school next year
Where will Prince George go to school?
Melanie Sanderson, managing editor of The Good Schools Guide, explained that while no one school has been confirmed – although Eton College does appear to be a frontrunner for the young royal – it’s possible that William and Kate are holding “multiple places open” at different schools for George.
She explained while appearing on HELLO!’s Right Royal Podcast: “I feel as though the Wales’ may be holding multiple places at different schools. It sort of feels as though if they had made a definitive decision, somebody would know, and it would be out there,” she explained.

Prince William and Prince Harry attended Eton
“For ordinary people, they have to say ‘yes’ fairly quickly so their children would be accepted. Ordinary people who have been offered places would be accepting those places for secondary schools in the next few weeks.
Though there’s not a “huge amount of time to accept” a school place, Melanie said she suspects “the normal rules possibly don’t apply” for the royals.

Meanwhile, the Princes of Wales was a student at Marlborough College
As of March, HELLO! understands that the Prince and Princess of Wales have already started looking at options, including both the aforementioned alma mater of George’s royal parents, as well as the prestigious Wellington College.
