Prince Harry won’t meet two royals if he does return to the UK this summer, it has been claimed. It is believed the Duke of Sussex, 41, will visit his home country this summer to attend a one-year countdown event to the 2027 Invictus Games, which will be held in Birmingham.

Although unconfirmed, it is believed Harry could return to the event with his wife Meghan Markle, who apart from airports, has not stepped foot in the UK since 2022. It is also believed that the couple could bring their children Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet with them back to Harry’s home country. If this is the case, then it is likely a meeting with King Charles, Harry’s father, could be on the cards for the family.

While Harry often visits his father at Clarence House on his solo UK visits, it is believed the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, with their children, could see him at Balmoral Castle in Scotland this summer.

Royal author Ingrid Seward told The Mirror: “The only place that really I think they could meet if the King is to get to know or at least see his grandchildren, is at Balmoral.

“It’s the only time the King has time and the Sussexes could be accommodated there because there’s lots of cottages on the Estate.”

However, with many royals gathering at Balmoral over the summer months, the royal author said the King will take care to make sure any visit by Harry to the Scottish castle won’t clash with royals the prince no longer gets on with.

This means that Harry is unlikely to see his estranged brother Prince William, and William’s wife Princess Catherine, on any visit.

The royal author said: “I think the King would pick very carefully who was going to be there at the same time, and it certainly wouldn’t be William and Kate.

“If it were, I’d be absolutely astounded.”

Harry last saw his father in September, and has not seen him face-to-face this year despite some UK visits.
