Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s wedding photograph that was once on display at the King’s Highgrove home would have been moved “deliberately”, a royal insider has said. Just a few weeks ago, eagle-eyed royal fans noticed that a wedding photograph of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, which had previously been sitting proudly on a small wooden table at Highgrove, had been moved.
This was noticed when royal photographer Chris Jackson, who hosted an event at the estate, took a picture of the table where the wedding photograph once was. The photograph showed that the only two photographs on display on the table now were one of Prince Harry shoulder-to-shoulder with his brother Prince William and his father, King Charles, and one of King Charles’s grandsons, Prince Louis.
The wedding photograph was nowhere to be seen, despite being on the table in 2024 along with a photograph of King Charles and Queen Camilla on their Coronation day. The photograph of the King with his two sons was also on display at this time.
While it is likely the wedding photograph has simply been moved elsewhere, along with the Coronation picture, one former Royal Household staff member said that the removal of the picture from this space would have been deliberate.
This is because staff are not allowed to move items around without the King’s permission, even if they are senior members of staff.
This was revealed by Grant Harrold, who served as a royal butler to King Charles from 2004 until 2011.
This was before King Charles became monarch.

Speaking on The Royals Uncensored podcast, Grant said: “The only person that can move pictures or move things round is the King himself. So it has to be the King’s decision.”
He then said it was likely a “deliberate” move.
It is unclear why the photograph was moved or where it moved to.
However, it is not the only photograph moved from the table, as the Coronation photograph also appears to have been moved to another spot.
