Lewis Hamilton and long-term ally Marc Hynes have separated
Lewis Hamilton has separated from his closest professional ally Marc Hynes for the second time, with the split coming just weeks before the new Formula One campaign begins.
It comes after news broke that the Ferrari star is dating American media personality Kim Kardashian.
The seven-time world champion, aged 41, and the 45-year-old American celebrity spent a romantic weekend together at Estelle Manor, an exclusive country retreat in the Cotswolds.
Meanwhile, Hynes has departed to take up a position with Cadillac, the American outfit set to join the F1 grid this season.

Formula One champion Lewis Hamilton and reality television star Kim Kardashian have embarked on a romantic relationship, it has emerged | GETTYWhile it remains unclear whether Hynes will maintain any involvement in Hamilton’s business interests, the move marks a substantial departure from his previously extensive role supporting the seven-time world champion.
Ferrari and Cadillac were both contacted regarding the departure, though Ferrari chose not to comment.
Hynes served as chief executive of Project 44, Hamilton’s management company, between 2015 and 2021, before the pair initially parted ways on good terms.
The former racing driver was subsequently brought back into Hamilton’s inner circle to manage the Briton’s racing logistics following his high-profile switch to Ferrari.
Throughout the 2025 season, Hynes was present at virtually every grand prix as a central figure within Hamilton’s entourage, handling day-to-day racing matters for the 41-year-old.

Lewis Hamilton has struggled so far at Ferrari | REUTERSThe professional relationship between the two stretches back considerably further, with their friendship originating in the junior motorsport categories during Hamilton’s formative years.
According to reports, this second parting is understood to have occurred on amicable terms, mirroring their initial separation five years ago.
Senior figures within Formula One suggest Hamilton sought to reshape his personal support structure as a fresh start following a difficult debut campaign with the Scuderia.
The British driver failed to secure a single podium finish during his first season in red, with Hamilton himself describing his performances as “absolutely useless”.
This restructuring extends beyond Hynes, with Ferrari announcing last month that race engineer Riccardo Adami has been reassigned to a different role within the team.

Despite the changes to his support team, Hamilton continues to be surrounded by a tight-knit group of trusted staff, including his trainer Angela Cullen, media personnel and security.
The new season gets underway in Melbourne on 8th March, with Hamilton facing a campaign under significantly revised sporting regulations that will see slimmed-down cars introduced.
Reports from team personnel indicate the seven-time champion appeared in positive spirits during last week’s testing session in Barcelona, which took place away from public view.
Hamilton is said to have been encouraged by Ferrari’s response to the major regulatory overhaul coming into effect this year
