Lewis Hamilton issued a nine-word response when quizzed on his rumoured relationship with Kim Kardashian after day one of F1 testing. Hamilton was seen cosying up to the reality TV superstar at the Super Bowl over the weekend. They have been romantically linked as of late, with speculation emerging after Ferrari’s first testing sessions of the 2026 season in Barcelona.

It was also reported that Hamilton was joined by Kim for an intimate couples’ retreat in Oxfordshire earlier this month. Their joint appearance at the Super Bowl was viewed by many as a ‘hard launch’ that confirms they are in a relationship. Hamilton was offered the chance to shed light on those rumours on Wednesday but the 41-year-old chose to keep things under wraps.

Sky Sports reporter Ted Kravitz revealed: “I can tell you he was asked that in the written press. He was asked: ‘Did you enjoy your company more than the game at the Super Bowl?’. And he said: ‘It’s my private life. I’m not talking about that’. So, that’s me told.

“I was only going to ask if Kim was going to become a Tifosi, like all Ferrari fans, but I chickened out. Quite right. He was never going to give me an answer, though, was he?”

Hamilton was spotted in deep conversation with Kim at the Super Bowl, while they were also seen dancing to Bad Bunny’s music during the halftime show.

It’s even been claimed that Hamilton promised his potential new flame that he would take her to meet his mother, with a lip-reading expert suggesting this comment didn’t go down too well.

Nicola Hickling, the founder of LipReader, told the Daily Mail that Hamilton said: “No, I don’t take just any girl to my mom, I mean you’re gonna meet someday, she is very excited to see you.”

She noted that Kim appeared to “shuffle uncomfortably in her seat” before covering her face and “replying with a simple okay”.

However, body language expert Judi James suggested that Kim was deliberately flirting with Hamilton, claiming that one particular technique left the Ferrari driver hot under the collar.

She said: “Firstly, there is the pose that registers undivided attention between them, which is a form of non-verbal stroke when you’re on a date.

“Kim actually leans back to take in Lewis visually as he speaks and this flattering ‘stroke’ produces a ‘purr’ response from him, which is visible in the way his facial features soften and he talks through a smile of pleasure.

“Kim adds to the flirting when the tip of her tongue appears at the side of her mouth. This is usually seen as a gesture of playful desire or interest.

“But then she seems to switch to a very smart technique of intense interest followed by distraction, suddenly looking away after bathing Lewis in her interested gaze.

“She even brings one hand up to touch her hair and hide her face from him. This ‘hot and cool’ body language technique is used to capture someone’s attention and to get them to coax the signals of interest back again.”
